Wow. That fiddle yard is incredible, it certainly looks like the circles of hell in both the appearance and the pain it must give the operators! And to think my layout is only 40 inches long, 11&1/2 inches wide, and sits above my desk with just enough track for a shunter to re-arrange 8 goods cars!

Well you have a new subscriber, it's amazing to see how model railroading has changed over the yrs…I started out with a simple oval set I got for Christmas santa fe diesel freight. added more track and built all the accessories by hand ( looking back OMG they were crude..lol but hey what do you expect from a 12 y.o ?) I sence have had 2 others. but not having any room in the house can not start another.?. Great layout & scenery. I have another item to add to my bucket list?

HOWARD POMFRET says:

Hi Charlie. I'm a great admirer of your channel and think this McKinley railway is fantastic. It reminds me of the railway at Gainsborough in Lincolnshire. Where they have a timetable for running the trains. If you haven't been it's worth a visit. It's only open to the public on certain dates through the year but I'm sure you'll be welcome following a Phone call

all the above plus very very deep pockets with a bottomless wallet 😀

Simon Thorpe says:

What a pity there are tail lights at intermediate points in the train. Thereby destroying the whole objective of the tail light, i.e. to demonstrate that the train is complete. Such a basic error. But he's not alone.

Filip 36 says:

Not my piece of cake. I like to run trains and operate the layout with friends. No stress – just fun.

Colonel Ga-Taffy says:

LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT GUYS HEAD  15:30. ITS HUGE. UNLESS CHARLIES HEAD IS SHRINKING. REMINDS OF REEVES AND MORTIMER “MASTER CHEF”. CHECK OUT THIS LINK IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN IT.

Wow Charlie! How does David keep all that track clean – there must be miles and some quite inaccessible? Cheers JC

Leila Central says:

What a layout! The train automation and the operations would be most interesting to see in action. All the details, all the scenery, all the painting would have taken a huge amount of time. Adding stress to the operators is something I would not think of but it must add another level of operation. Seeing that fiddleyard and it size really must be the biggest fiddleyard I’ve ever seen. I’ll have to check this channel out because this seams to have everything. Really inspiring seeing this. Clint
