Welcome to Tolga East Coast Productions! I hope you enjoy the quality video you are viewing, and don’t forget to leave a like, comment, and subscribe if you haven’t already! Be sure to view in 1080p60 (or otherwise, the maximum resolution possible) for the best viewing experience! ABOUT THIS VIDEO: With thanks to member Logan Dahir for the invitation, we visit the local Chesapeake Bay & Western Model Railroad Club layout in Yorktown, Virginia. The layout is so massive and so impressive no form of media would do it any kind of justice, you have to see it for yourself. You also have to see it multiple times to take it all in. In order to navigate the layout we follow a N&W/Southern Tennesseean pulled by none other than the world famous Norfolk and Western Class J #611 4-8-4. The era of the layout can vary from 1950s to present, [More]
UPDATE: I know the Zimo controller is spelt Zimo – I put one too many ‘Ms’ in when writing it out in the video. With so many DCC controllers and decoders on the market, and so many people reporting problems with them all – I thought I’d take an investigative look into this, Columbo style! Haha – In all seriousness however, it’s a very important issue that affects the majority of people into model railways. Part 2 (If you’d like to see one) will be all about the decoders themselves. Please do leave a comment, share your experiences with us all and if you’d like me to check out any of your videos and/or give them increased exposure – let me know! Painting of cast plaster rocks (embedded in a plaster of paris landscape) with acrylic (water-based) paints.? Painting rocks made simple. Our Rock work is all cured now we’re ready to add some color and Miles is brought three colors out of here three colors right this technique is absolutely so foolproof we call it leopard spotting and all I’m going to do is put about 50% of the rock colored with this yellow this is thin down about 16 to 1 with water and this color actually comes in the kit so you don’t have to do any guesswork and what is this color again this is yellow ochre or yellow okay using I’m going to use raw umber here as y brown color but burnt umber to an artist anything that says burnt means red so anytime I want to add some Reds in here like for the Southwest [More]

THE SUNDANCE CENTRAL RAILROAD – The Sundance was formed in January 2004 with the goal to create a more detailed and uniformly scened, large-scale traveling layout. This 1:20.3 scale modular model railroad consisting of forty modules for a layout size of 45 feet by 45 feet. The railroad consists of 400 feet of hand laid code 250 aluminum rails that are hand spiked with individual tie plates onto wood ties with a total of 16 turn-outs. The modular was built by a group of seven model train enthusiasts. This diverse group is made up of people who have a passion of early narrow gauge steam locomotives to modern day standard gauge diesels. The purpose for forming this modular group was to provide the public a realistic look at model railroading in a large-scale format. The modules are highly detailed from the scratch built supporting structures and buildings down to the [More]
